About the role - Due to rapid growth and increased demand for our Data Privacy Compliance platform, OneTrust is seeking an awesome Senior Backend Developer to join our application R&D team.
As a SR Backend Developer, you will be an experienced Java (Java, Spring, SQL, Azure) with a strong track record of applying Agile methodologies and complex problem solving skills to develop enterprise ready software on cloud platforms. The candidate should also bring a strong DevOps mindset, with experience working in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment environments.
The SR Backend Developer has a clear understanding of the privacy industry, including regulatory environment, and uses this knowledge to support all of the primary responsibilities. To thrive in this role, the SR Backend Developer will help keep OneTrust on the forefront of industry trends, competitive landscape and continually improve our core platform.
Typical day/week snapshot – SR Backend Developer
- Design, develop, and unit test applications deployed to MS Azure; assist with cloud application architectural design
- Provide support for scoping and key project estimates
- Develop test cases to be executed during development
- Conduct and lead peer reviews
- Contribute to sprint planning
- Help plan and participate in daily scrums, sprint retrospectives, and sprint demos.
- Mentor junior software developers
- Stay current on modern software development best practices, emerging technologies, and design patterns and contribute to thought leadership efforts.
What we need from you:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical or business field
- 6+ years full software development lifecycle
- Core Java, REST, Spring, Web API
- Database Knowledge (SQL)
- Agile development (Scrum, XP, or Pair Programming) experience
- Experience with cloud application development (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services)
- Continuous Integration/Deployment - DevOps mindset
- Stay current on modern software development best practices,emerging technologies, and design patterns and contribute to thought leadership efforts.
- Experience with Open Source Frameworks such as log4net or Swagger
- Test-Driven Development (TDD) / Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) (Moq, Cucumber)
- Front End development (HTML5, CSS and Modern JavaScript, AngularJS, React or other Model–view–viewmodel (MVVM) frameworks)
- Working on Enterprise scale projects

About the role - Due to rapid growth and increased demand for our Data Privacy Compliance platform, OneTrust is looking for an experienced and dedicated QA Automation Engineer with excellent testing skills and enthusiasm in Agile for our Research and Development team.
The Automation Engineer will be responsible for driving and developing consistent tests that will be used to ensure the overall quality of the product. The right person will have proven core QA competencies and ability to create stable automated tests, high attention to detail, and ability to work in heavily Continuous Deployment environments.
The Automation Engineer has a strong desire to understand the privacy industry, including regulatory environments, and uses this curiosity to build skills that will support all the primary responsibilities. This role is critical in keeping OneTrust on the forefront of industry trends, competitive landscape and continually improve our core application.
Typical day/week snapshot – Software Quality Assurance Tester
- Develop and plan all automation testing activities related to enterprise software development with enthusiasm and a natural ability to deliver on short timelines
- Work in an Agile environment showcasing good organization and reporting skills
- Understand and translatebusiness and technical requirements into automated tests within a Continuous Integration Environment
- Work with R&D, product management, and other functional teams to own, and deliver on test plans
- Collaborate with different functional groups to identify gaps, prioritize, and resolve issues
- Manage all test environments, test devices and OS versions required for testing
- Define test data and reports for both functional and non-functional requirements
- Use strong communication and natural curiosity to provide trusted and highly valuable feedback
What we need from you:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical or business field
- 2+ years of experience working as a QA automationengineer for web/application development projects
- Understanding of development technologies eg C#, HTML5, JavaScript, REST, AngularJS, CSS
- Extensive exposure to testing tools such as Selenium Webdriver, Appium, Gradle, Jenkins
- Familiarity with Bitbucket, Git, Stash, Confluence, JIRA

About the role - A QA between 2 to 4 years of experience and who has good attitude to work in a small setup scenario. The work will involve manual and automation testing of various types of applications and services. Person should have good understanding of various types of testing, should be able to think like a QA who works with the philosophy, “There is no code that is bug free”. and should have basics of networking as it would be required for web application testing.
Must have skills:
- Fundamentals of testing should be completely clear. Should have clear understanding of bug life cycle.
- Should be able to produce test plan and test cases for all types of scenarios.
- Should know and perform all types of tests. For example, but not limited to Functional, System, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Security, Load etc.
- Basic of SQL concepts, writing simple queries for retrieving, updating, inserting and deleting data from database in SQL.
Great to have skills:
- Mobile app and API testing.

Must have skills:
